Manew Blew & Tom Leon are both blues addicted. They show it regularly on the island, Florida and Georgia. Tom loves to sing some good ole blues & country songs over his acoustic guitar whereas Blew blows…in his “Mississippi Saxophones”(harmonicas)! Manew took the title of Florida Harmonica Grand Champion in 2013-14. He ll sing and play a few originals of his own as well. Special Guest: Don Anderson-Harmonica. The three or two of us will play gospel songs with Don as a unique and rare harmonica player, carrying and incarnating a longtime and disappearing harmonica tradition. Please come share this unique moment announcing a wonderful Christmas! Tickets: $10.
An Evening of Acoustic Blues
After a performance in July which set attendance records, Manew Blew and Tom Leon and friends will return for another Evening of the Blues at the Amelia Musical Playhouse. Manew and Leon, both French born, are passionate about the blues and inspire that same emotion in their enthusiastic audiences. Manew won the title of “Florida Harmonica Grand Champion” in 2014. Tom plays acoustic guitar and sings. Most recently they have performed at the acoustic sessions at ACT. Saturday night Blew and Leon will play and sing standard and original blues numbers, and may even have some surprise guests!
