Auditions: Jekyll & Hyde – Replacements

Due to the effects of the coronavirus, our production of Jekyll & Hyde is in need of several replacement actors and actresses to fill out our cast. The roles we are searching for are listed below.

AUDITION – DECEMBER 21ST, 2020, 7 PM @ AMELIA MUSICAL PLAYHOUSE

Lucy Harris: 20s-30s, the stunning main attraction at the Red Rat pub, a prostitute with a heart of gold, this actress must be comfortable with mature material, a strong belting range required to an E, a very strong dancer is required for this role

Preparing an audition song will not be necessary. Please be familiar with “Bring on the Men”, “In His Eyes” and “It’s a Dangerous Game” from the show. There will also be a brief dance call and cold reading from the script with members of the cast.

NON-AUDITION ROLES

The roles below will not be auditioned. If you are interested and believe you are suited to one or more of them, please contact director Nick Cooper at coopernick1999@gmail.com and we will fill out our cast this way.

Lady Beaconsfield: 50s+, a judgemental aristocratic woman on the Board of Governors, must have good comic acting ability without being over the top, a strong classical soprano voice is required for this role, this is a non-dancing role

General Lord Glossop: 40s+, an intimidating and traditionalist war hero on the Board of Governors, must command the stage at all times, a strong singer is not required for this role but must be able to hold a simple bass harmony, this is a non-dancing role

Lord Theodore Savage: 50s+, an arrogant and cowardly yet very self assured gentleman on the Board of Governors, must have good comic acting chops, a strong singer not required but must be able to hold a harmony, this is a non-dancing role

The Ensemble: seeking a strong ensemble of singers and dancers to populate the streets of London and take on very specific characters within the ensemble, all ages (16+), ethnicities and levels of experience encouraged (featured roles within the ensemble are still available)
